If your answers were mixed, your style is eclectic.

Casual collections vary but are united by common elements such as muted colors, mid-tone wood, painted finishes and vintage fabrics.  The theme is homespun with florals, checks, calicoes and stripes.  A homey touch is achieved with hand-made accessories, pottery and baskets.

Contemporary collections run the gamut from strict Bauhaus minimalism to elegant Art Deco.  Lines can be hard-edged or gently curving; finishes are in all tones and tend to be smooth and refined.

Traditional collections tend to be symmetrical and formal.  Traditional furnishings can add elegance to an environment that has a more casual feel.  In this genre wood tones are generally dark, think cherry and mahogany, although the style is expanding to include lighter tones which resemble parchment.  Fabrics are typically heavier and consist of chintz, jacquard, damask and brocade.  Rich brown leather is a traditional classic.

Eclectic collections are sometimes daring and often unexpected with a combination of elements from different cultures, time periods and style categories.  Each group projects a distinctive character.  When done well, eclectic design is decidedly not just a hodge podge or random items.  Furnishings are chosen with intention and attention to unifying design elements such as color, line, texture, mass and form.  The use of collectibles, no matter what the variety, is a common thread.
